Notes

Many old vines here at high altitudes.
Sicily notes: Vines are historically bush trained low to the ground so the leaves protect the grapes, but cordon training and trellising are used today. Typically grow for high-volume wines.
Southern Italy notes: Very humid near the coast. Most vineyards in the the Appennines Mountains to provide relief from the heat.
Italy notes: Italian wines are named for the Region they are made in, not the grapes used in the wine.
