Known for their excellent Chardonnay wines. Best vineyards are labeled Premier Cru or Grand Cru.
Côte d'Or AOC notes: Well sloped and drained soil. Premier Cru higher up the slope and Grand Cru even higher.
Burgundy/Bourgogne AOC notes: Cool in the north, moderate further south. Significant vintage variations.
